What if we prepared for postpartum as carefully as we prepare for birth?
Pregnancy and birth are often at the centre of our attention as we prepare to welcome a new baby. But the time after birth is a transition of its own — a time of healing, change and becoming.
It is a time when a woman needs warmth, rest, nourishment and support. A time to be cared for as she finds her way into a new rhythm and into the role of becoming a mother.
In this two-day workshop, we want to bring some attention back to this time and explore how herbs and traditional ways of caring for women can support the journey through pregnancy, birth and especially postpartum.

I am very happy to be hosting this workshop together with my friend Jenny Reske, a German-trained midwife, postpartum doula and herbalist.
Jenny has many years of experience supporting women through pregnancy, homebirth and postpartum. With her background in midwifery, herbalism and holistic women's health, she brings a beautiful understanding of both the physical body and the many ways we can support a woman after birth.
Together, we will bring our two areas of knowledge into the same space — looking at the body, the plants and traditional practices that can help us care for women during this important transition.
What We Will Explore
We will begin with pregnancy and birth, and then turn our attention especially towards postpartum.
Jenny will guide us through some of the physical and hormonal changes that happen after birth, and what the body needs as it recovers and adjusts. From there, we will explore how herbs and plants can support these processes, looking at their traditional uses as well as practical ways of working with them.
We will have a large selection of quality herbs available to explore together. We will look at how they work, how they can be used and when they may be most supportive.
Throughout the workshop, we will work practically with the herbs and create our own herbal preparations. We will share herbal recipes and blends suited to different stages of pregnancy, birth and postpartum. Everyone will take home their own herbal creations and recipes, but our aim is also to give you the knowledge and confidence to continue working with herbs beyond the workshop.
We will also talk about the foundations of postpartum care — warmth, nourishing food, rest, support, retreat and community — and how these simple principles can be brought into our lives and into the way we care for new mothers.
Who is This For
For pregnant women, partners and other support people, doulas, midwives and birthworkers who would like to deepen their understanding of herbs and explore practical ways of supporting women through pregnancy, birth and postpartum.
No previous knowledge of herbalism is needed.

The workshop will be held in English.
Price: 4,500 CZK
Maximum 12 participants
We are keeping the group small to create an intimate circle, with plenty of time to share, ask questions and learn together.
The price includes the full two-day workshop, herbal materials and the preparations we make together. We are very much looking forward to sharing this weekend with you — gathering around the plants, learning together and giving some much-needed attention to the time after birth.
